The Clay Empire was my first Sole Proprietor business.  It was an instant success!  I provided a great product that utilized my love of clay as a jumping off point to teach Values and ideals lacking in the education system today like Entrepreneurship, skill mastery and to dream big dreams!

The Socialist Squirrel Government agency that held the keys to access the Minnesota student soon found out that indeed I was a conservative artist and not their typical leftist artist that they just assumed I would be.  So they booked up all my billable hours and never filled a class.  All the materials I had purchased to service these classes soon went to waste and my small business was upside down in debt. 

I had run once again head long into the evil Socialist Squirrel underbelly of the beast.  It serves me right for putting a business model together dependent upon a government agency and that lesson was one I was fortunate enough to learn early on.  I vowed I would never again rest my family well being upon another socialist squirrel entity.

So I switched gears and reinvisioned my goals.  I went into online publications and created Theodore Media LLC that now is the home of The Clay Empire under its umbrella.  I had to let go of the cutting edge enrichment classes I was teaching because I could no longer gain access to my target market due to Government intervention of Socialist Squirrels that are destroying our beloved school institutions. 

I did however, have great success with home schoolers.  I was amazed at the difference in students!  These home school children inspired me and challenged me.  It was a wonderful experience but with little income coming in I was forced to put my enrichment classes on the shelf in favor of other projects.  It is my intention in the future to offer these classes online so that I can ignite students imaginations across the world.
